About the Invoice Template Editor

Most invoice templates are take-it-or-leave-it: a fixed layout you cannot move and column headings that do not match how you sell. This is an editor rather than a template — every structural decision on the page is a control, and the sheet beside the form redraws as you change it.

Switch between seven layouts that differ in structure rather than colour: ruled tables, an accent band, hairlines only, a heavy header, tight leading for long lists, boxed registration panels, and an 80mm till roll. Turn item columns on and off, rename the document title and the bill-to and ship-to labels, set the accent colour and page size, and rewrite the footer and terms.

When it looks right, download it as a self-contained HTML file or export the settings as JSON. Both are yours, work offline, and never touched a server.

How to use the Invoice Template Editor

  1. 1

    Try the layouts

Each one changes the structure — rules, spacing, header weight — not just the colour.

  2. 2

    Turn columns on and off

Only add a column you will actually fill; an empty column makes a document look unfinished.

  3. 3

    Rename the labels

Document title, bill-to and ship-to headings, tax label, discount and shipping labels.

  4. 4

Set the colour and page size

One accent colour is enough. Two is usually one too many on a document.

  5. 5

    Download or export

HTML to print and reuse, JSON to keep the template as data.
