Google Sheets Invoice Template

A block of cells and formulas to paste straight into a blank Google Sheet.

Your invoice

Saved in this browser only

Paste this into a blank sheet

Copy the block, open a new Google Sheet, click cell A1 and paste. Sheets splits the tabs into columns and keeps the formulas live — the references are relative to A1, so pasting lower down will point the sums at the wrong rows.

About the Google Sheets Invoice Template

Google Sheets imports an .xlsx perfectly, so a Sheets template does not really need to be another file. What it needs to be is a block you can paste into a blank sheet with the formulas already pointing at the right cells — which is what this produces.

Copy it, click A1 in a new sheet, paste, and you have an invoice with working formulas: each line total is quantity times price less discount, the subtotal sums the range, and the tax and grand total follow. Sheets recognises the tabs as columns and the leading equals signs as formulas, so nothing has to be retyped.

The .xlsx download is here too, for when you would rather open a file than paste a block — File, Import, Upload, and Sheets converts it with the formulas intact. Everything is generated in your browser, and no part of your invoice is sent to Google or to anyone else by this page.

Frequently asked questions

Because Sheets already imports .xlsx, so a separate Sheets file adds nothing. A paste block skips the download, the upload and the conversion entirely — it is three seconds rather than thirty.
