Frequently Asked Questions
The questions we are asked most — about cost, privacy, limits and how the site pays for itself.
Yes. Every tool is free to use, with no trial, no card details and no paid tier holding back the useful features. The site is funded by the advertising shown around the tools, which is why you will see ads on some pages.
No. There is no sign-up anywhere on the site and nothing to log into. Open a tool and use it. Your list of favourite tools is stored in your own browser rather than on our servers. The one thing we do keep is a review, if you choose to write one: the name you type, your star rating and your words are published on that tool's page, and nothing else goes with them.
No. The tools run as JavaScript inside your browser, so the text you paste and the images you open are processed on your own device and never transmitted. There is no upload endpoint to misuse. That is also why a tool keeps working if your connection drops after the page loads.
Because nothing leaves your device, the tools are safe for material you would not paste into an unknown website: an API response with customer records, a contract draft, a config file with credentials in it. Your own organisation may still have rules about which sites you may use, so check those first.
There is no daily quota and no file-size cap imposed by us. The practical ceiling is your own device: a very large image is limited by the memory your browser will give the page. If a file is too big, the tool says so rather than failing silently.
There are 1329 tools, grouped into categories such as text, image, developer and calculators. Use the search box at the top of any page — it matches both tool names and what the tools do — or browse the All Tools page for the complete list.
Yes. Whatever you produce with a tool is yours, for personal or commercial work, with no attribution required and no licence to accept. We claim no rights over what you put in or what comes out.
Advertising pays for the hosting, the domain and the time spent building and fixing tools. The alternatives would be charging for the tools or selling data about visitors, and we would rather do neither. Ads are kept out of the working area of each tool.
The site sets a session cookie needed for basic security. Where advertising is enabled, our advertising partner may set its own cookies to limit how often an ad repeats and to measure performance. The cookie policy lists them and explains how to refuse them.
Tell us, and include the exact inputs you used and the figure you expected. Correctness reports are the highest priority we have — a tool that quietly returns a wrong answer is worse than no tool at all.
Please do. Most of what gets built next comes from requests. Describe the job you are trying to do rather than only naming a tool; knowing the underlying task usually leads to a better tool than the one originally asked for.
Every tool is built for a phone screen as well as a desktop, and the layout adapts rather than shrinking a desktop page. Processing happens on the device either way, so a phone with a weak connection is no slower once the page has loaded.
Still stuck?
A question that is not answered here is usually a sign the site should explain itself better. Ask, and the answer normally ends up on this page.
