About the PSD to PNG Converter

Someone sends a .psd and you do not have Photoshop. The file holds the layers, the effects and — importantly — a flattened copy of the finished artwork that Photoshop saves for exactly this situation. Getting at it normally means installing something or uploading a client’s unreleased design to a stranger’s server.

Drop the file here and that flattened composite is read straight out of the bytes, in your own tab. RGB, greyscale, indexed, duotone, Lab and CMYK documents are all handled, at 8 or 16 bits per channel, with both raw and RLE-compressed image data. Save the result as PNG with transparency, as JPEG, or as WebP, at full size or resized. Nothing is uploaded, which is the point when the file is under an NDA.
