Spell out any number in English or Bangla, with lakh and crore or million and billion.
Number to Words spells out any number — or a whole list — in English or Bangla, using the international million-and-billion system or the Indian lakh-and-crore system, with a choice of case, British "and" and decimals.
Writing a number out in words comes up on cheques, legal documents, invoices, school work and anywhere a figure has to be impossible to alter. It is also easy to get subtly wrong: 1,25,000 is "one lakh twenty-five thousand" in South Asia and "one hundred twenty-five thousand" everywhere else.
Paste one number or a whole column, one per line, and each is spelled out. Choose the international system or the Indian lakh-and-crore system, English or Bangla, the letter case, and whether to include the British "and". Decimals can be read digit by digit or written as a fraction over a hundred. The digits are processed as text rather than as a floating-point number, so even a thirty-digit figure comes out exactly.
Switch between the Indian and international naming systems for the same figures.
Numbers can be written in Bangla, such as এক লক্ষ পঁচিশ হাজার, with correct irregular forms up to 99.
Digits are read as text, so a thirty-digit number is spelled out without any rounding.
Paste a whole column and every line is converted, with unreadable lines reported.
Letter case, the British "and", and decimals as digits or as a fraction over a hundred.
Type or paste one number per line. Grouping commas and Bangla digits are fine.
English or Bangla; international (million) or Indian (lakh, crore).
Letter case, British "and", and how decimals are written.
Every line is converted in place, ready to copy or save.
Internationally it is one hundred twenty-five thousand. In the Indian system it is one lakh twenty-five thousand, and in Bangla এক লক্ষ পঁচিশ হাজার.
British English includes the "and"; American English usually leaves it out. Both are correct in their region — tick the British option if you need it.
Up to the vigintillion, 10⁶³, in the international system. The Indian system repeats "crore" for large values, so there is no fixed upper limit.
Either digit by digit — 3.05 is "three point zero five" — or as a fraction, "three and 5/100", which is the form used on cheques.
