The CSV to YAML Converter turns spreadsheet rows into YAML records — a list, a mapping keyed by the first column, or wrapped under a top-level key — with real types and safe quoting.
Configuration, fixtures, Kubernetes manifests, Ansible inventories and CI pipelines all read YAML, while the list of servers, users or products behind them usually starts life in a spreadsheet. Retyping it is slow and typing a hyphen in the wrong column breaks the file.
Paste the CSV and get valid YAML. Each row becomes a record with the header row as its keys, as a plain list, as a mapping keyed by the first column, or wrapped under a top-level key of your choosing. Numbers and true/false can be read as real types while values with a leading zero stay strings, and anything YAML would otherwise misread — yes, no, on, off, a date — is quoted automatically. Ragged rows are reported rather than silently mangled.
A plain list, keyed by the first column, or wrapped under a key you name.

yes, no, on, off and dates are quoted so YAML reads them back as text.
Rows with a different column count are flagged rather than silently mangled.
Comma, semicolon, tab or pipe is detected from the file.
The delimiter is detected; the first row is used as the field names.
A list of records, keyed by the first column, or wrapped under one key.
Real numbers and booleans, or keep every value as a string.
Paste it into a config file, a manifest or a fixture.
Yes. A value such as 007 or 0044 is kept as a string, because turning it into a number would lose the zeros — the same rule the CSV to JSON tool follows.
Because YAML would otherwise read them as something else. yes, no, on, off, null, 1.0 and dates are quoted so they come back as the text your file actually contains.
It turns the rows into a mapping whose keys are the values of the first column — handy for lookup tables. Duplicate keys overwrite, so check the record count afterwards.
The output is standard YAML 1.2 that any parser reads. Whether it is a valid manifest depends on the keys your CSV provides, which is up to your columns.
