About the Plumbing Invoice Generator

A plumbing invoice is usually written on a phone in someone’s kitchen, and it has to carry four things: the call-out, the labour, the parts, and whatever certificate the job produced. Leave any of them off and the conversation about the price happens after the work rather than before.

This builder covers all four. The call-out charge goes on as its own line, labour goes on in hours or half-days with an out-of-hours uplift where it applies, and parts go on individually with their own tax treatment. The certificate number and the appliance or system worked on go in the header, which is what a landlord or a homeowner actually files.

Site address, job reference and any warranty on the work are all on the document. It prints to A4 or saves as a PDF from a phone, with no account and no subscription.

Key features of the Plumbing Invoice Generator

Call-out on its own line

So the labour rate reads honestly.

Parts itemised

A lump "materials" figure is the most-queried line on any trade invoice.

Out-of-hours uplift

Shown as its own line rather than a mysteriously higher rate.

Certificate recorded

Gas Safe, unvented or building regulations reference in the header.

Warranty stated

How long the work is guaranteed, and on what.

How to use the Plumbing Invoice Generator

  1. 1

    Charge the call-out separately

Its own line, so the labour rate reads honestly.

  2. 2

    Bill labour by the hour

With an out-of-hours or emergency uplift on its own line where it applies.

  3. 3

    List every part

Individually, with quantities — a single "parts" figure is what gets queried.

  4. 4

    Record the certificate

Gas Safe, unvented or building regulations reference in the header.

  5. 5

    State the warranty

How long the work is guaranteed, and what it covers, in the notes.

Frequently asked questions

Most do, and showing it as its own line is fairer than hiding it in a first-hour rate. What matters is that the customer knew about it before the visit — the invoice is not the place to introduce it.
