Reissue an overdue invoice with the days late, interest and an OVERDUE stamp.
An overdue invoice resent unchanged looks exactly like the one already sitting in the queue. Set the original due date and the interest you are entitled to, and the reissue carries the age, the accrued interest and an OVERDUE stamp.
The Past Due Invoice Generator reissues an overdue invoice so its state is visible from across a desk: an OVERDUE stamp, the days late against the terms it was issued on, and interest and recovery costs accrued daily from the due date.
An overdue invoice resent unchanged is easy to ignore, because it looks exactly like the one already sitting in the queue. A past-due reissue is a different document: the same debt, presented so that the state of it is visible from across a desk.
This builder does three things to the original. It stamps OVERDUE across the page in red. It adds the age — how many days past due, and against which terms — to the header. And it adds the interest and fixed recovery cost that have accrued, calculated daily from the due date, as their own lines, so the amount claimed grows visibly rather than being asserted.
Where you have a statutory right to interest — the UK Late Payment of Commercial Debts Act, the EU Late Payment Directive — the rate and the fixed sum are prefilled. Where you are relying on your own terms, the invoice quotes the clause, which is what makes the charge stick.
So it does not look like the copy already ignored.

Same number, same lines, same total. It is the same debt.

In the UK and EU you have a statutory right to interest and a fixed recovery cost on a late commercial debt, whether or not your terms mention it. Elsewhere it depends on your contract, and on a cap in some US states.
In the UK, 8% above the Bank of England base rate, plus a fixed sum of £40, £70 or £100 depending on the size of the debt. In the EU, 8 percentage points above the ECB reference rate plus €40.
No. It is the same debt and the same invoice. Changing the number creates a second liability in the customer’s ledger and makes the whole thing harder to resolve.
A reminder ladder that escalates — a first reminder, a firmer second, a final notice with a deadline, then a letter before action. The reminder and collection letter generators here produce each stage.
