Split one invoice across several payers, evenly or by share, without losing a penny.
The Split Payment Calculator divides an invoice across several payers evenly, by percentage, by fixed amount or by a weighting, and allocates the rounding remainder to a named payer so the shares always reconcile to the invoice exactly.
Splitting an invoice looks like division until the money does not add up. Three people sharing £100 each owe £33.33, which totals £99.99, and the missing penny has to go somewhere explicit or somebody quietly absorbs it — which is fine once and not fine across a year of shared invoices.
This splits an invoice evenly, by percentage, by a fixed amount each, or by a weighting such as headcount, floor area or usage, and allocates the rounding remainder to a named payer rather than leaving it. The totals always reconcile exactly to the invoice.
It handles the cases that come up in practice: a shared invoice between departments or cost centres, a group booking split between individuals, a joint venture split by stake, and a recharge to tenants by floor area. Each produces a table you can copy, with the share, the tax on that share, and what each payer owes.
The remainder is allocated to a named payer, not absorbed.

Headcount, floor area, usage or revenue.
Each payer’s share of the tax as well as the net.
Payer, share, tax and total, ready to send.
Including tax, or excluding it with the rate set.
Evenly, by percentage, by fixed amounts, or by a weighting.
One per line, with their share if it is not an even split.
The rounding penny goes somewhere named, not nowhere.
Each payer, their share, their tax and what they owe.
Round each share down, then allocate the remaining pennies one at a time to the largest shares, or give the whole remainder to a named payer. Either way the shares must total the invoice exactly.
Commercially yes, and it happens constantly. For tax purposes the invoice is still addressed to one customer — if each payer needs to reclaim tax on their share, each needs their own invoice, not a share of one.
By whatever drives the cost: headcount for a per-person service, floor area for rent and utilities, usage for metered services, revenue for a general overhead. State the basis, because that is what makes the split defensible.
That is a different thing: one payer paying part of what they owe. Use the instalment calculator, which schedules the remainder rather than dividing it between people.
