About the Invoice Installment Calculator

A customer who cannot pay an invoice in full is better handled with a plan than with a reminder, and a plan is better in writing than agreed on the phone. This works one out: the number of instalments, the amounts, the dates, and what is outstanding after each.

It handles the two shapes plans actually take. Equal instalments, where the last one absorbs the rounding so the total is exact. And a deposit followed by equal instalments, which is the safer structure because it puts money in before the risk starts.

Interest is optional and honest. Adding interest to a payment plan is legitimate where it is agreed, and the calculator shows both the monthly figure and the effective annual rate, so neither side is surprised. In consumer contexts, structured credit is a regulated activity in most countries, and the tool says so rather than quietly producing a lending schedule for somebody who is not authorised to offer one.

Frequently asked questions

Usually yes. A realistic plan that is kept to recovers more than a demand that is ignored, and it keeps a customer. Put it in writing, take a first payment immediately, and state what happens if a payment is missed.
