About the Export Invoice Generator

An export invoice carries the commercial detail of a cross-border sale and the evidence that the supply is zero-rated. Both matter: the first gets the goods through customs, the second is what your tax authority will ask for if it ever queries why no VAT or GST was charged.

This builder adds the export fields to a normal invoice: Incoterm and named place, port of loading and port of discharge, country of origin and final destination, shipping marks and numbers, the number and kind of packages, gross and net weight, and the buyer’s order reference. The tax rate starts at zero and the tax note carries the declaration wording — in India, the statement about supply under LUT without payment of IGST; in the EU and UK, the zero-rating provision.

HS codes and units print per line, and the totals show the value in the invoice currency with the amount in words, which is what banks processing a letter of credit expect to see.

Frequently asked questions

Exports are normally zero-rated, meaning no tax is charged but the supply is still taxable so input tax can be reclaimed. You must keep evidence that the goods left the country within the time limit your authority sets.
