Invoice Tax Rate Calculator
Work out the rate from a net and a gross, or the effective rate on a mixed invoice.
Invoice development work by sprint, ticket or milestone, with hours itemised.
The Web Development Invoice Generator bills against sprints, milestones and ticket references rather than an unverifiable block of hours, keeps build and support on separate lines and rates, and passes third-party costs through at cost.
Development invoices are usually right and still get queried, because the client cannot map the hours to anything they recognise. A line that reads "development — 62 hours" is unverifiable; a line per sprint, epic or ticket reference is checkable against a board they already look at.
This builder bills that way. The reference field takes a sprint number or milestone, lines take hours as the unit, and the detail row under each line carries the ticket references it covers. For fixed-price work, milestones go in as lines with the acceptance criteria named.
Maintenance and support are separated from build work, because they are usually on different rates and different terms, and because a support retainer invoiced alongside a project makes both harder to renew. Third-party costs — licences, hosting, services — go on their own lines at cost.

Detailed enough that the client can check it without asking you. Ticket or issue references under each line do that better than a long list of hours, and take less time to write.
Fixed price suits well-defined work and puts the estimating risk on you; time and materials suits evolving scope and puts it on the client. Either way, invoice against the same unit your contract uses.
One line for the retainer and the hours it includes, one line for hours beyond it at the overage rate. Showing both makes the overage a fact rather than a surprise.
Recharge at cost on separate lines, and say so. Hiding a hosting bill inside a development line makes it look like margin when the client eventually sees the underlying invoice.
