Without it, Google can treat the offer as stale and stop showing the price.

The Product Schema Generator writes Product JSON-LD with its nested Offer, Brand and AggregateRating. It enforces the rules that break most product markup: a bare numeric price with no symbol, a three-letter ISO currency code, a schema.org URL for availability, and GTIN, MPN and SKU kept in the separate fields Google treats differently.
Enter what the product is, what it costs and whether it is in stock, and the generator writes the Product JSON-LD with its nested Offer, Brand and AggregateRating. The identifier fields — GTIN, MPN and SKU — are separated out, because Google treats them differently and merchants routinely put a barcode in the wrong one.
The price rules are where most product markup fails validation. priceCurrency must be a three-letter ISO code, price must be a plain number with no currency symbol and no thousands separator, and priceValidUntil is required for a fixed price if you want the offer to stay eligible past the date Google decides it has gone stale. Availability takes a schema.org URL rather than the word "in stock". All four are handled here, so what you copy is valid rather than merely plausible.
Currency symbols and thousands separators are stripped, because Google rejects anything but a bare number.
In stock, out of stock, pre-order and back-order become the schema.org URLs rather than free text.
Each identifier goes in its own property, with a note on which one actually helps Google match your product.
Ratings are supported, alongside a plain statement that invented ones are a spam violation.
itemCondition and priceValidUntil are included, so an offer does not quietly go stale.
Name, description, image URLs, brand and the identifiers you have — GTIN, MPN or SKU.
Price as a plain number, the ISO currency code, the condition and the availability state.
Aggregate rating needs a genuine average and review count from reviews shown on the page.
Paste it into the product page and confirm with the Rich Results Test before you ship.
Almost always formatting. price must be a bare number — 29.99, not $29.99 and not 1,299.00 — and priceCurrency must be a three-letter ISO code like USD or EUR. This tool strips symbols and separators for you and warns if the currency code is not three letters.
GTIN is the global barcode number (UPC, EAN, ISBN); MPN is the manufacturer part number; SKU is your own internal code. Use GTIN whenever the product has one, because it is the only identifier that lets Google match your listing to the same product elsewhere. SKU alone identifies nothing outside your shop.
Only if the reviews behind it are real, from your own customers, and visible on that page. Self-serving invented ratings are a structured data spam violation, and Google has issued manual actions for it. Leave the rating fields empty rather than making a number up.
It tells Google how long the price is good for. Without it, an offer can be treated as expired once the data looks stale, and the rich result quietly stops showing. For an ongoing price, set it a few months ahead and keep it moving.
