About the Invoice Stripe Link Generator

A Stripe Payment Link from the dashboard is the same URL for every customer, which is perfect for a shop and awkward for invoices: every payment arrives looking identical, and matching it to an invoice is left to the amount and the customer’s name.

Stripe supports URL parameters on Payment Links that fix this. client_reference_id stores a value against the resulting Checkout Session — put the invoice number there and every payment carries it. prefilled_email fills in the customer’s email so they do not mistype it. prefilled_promo_code applies a discount code. And locale sets the checkout language.

This takes your Payment Link, validates it, and adds whichever of those you choose — with the reference sanitised to the characters Stripe accepts — then gives you the final link, a QR code, a button and an email line. It never calls Stripe and needs no key.
