Invoice in ZAR
Bill in rand with 15% VAT and the details SARS requires on a tax invoice.
Read scanned invoices and get a real .xlsx workbook — one row per invoice, or one per line.
Drop scans, photos or PDFs here — several at once
Invoice OCR to Excel reads scanned invoices with OCR, parses the fields, and writes a real .xlsx workbook — a row per invoice or a row per line item — with a frozen header, autofilter and numbers stored as numbers.
The reason anyone runs OCR on an invoice is to get it into a spreadsheet. Stopping at a wall of text leaves the hard part — deciding which number is the total and which is the VAT — to a person with a keyboard.
Drop one scan or twenty. Each is read with OCR, parsed into fields, and written into a real .xlsx workbook: header row frozen and filterable, columns sized, numbers stored as numbers so a SUM at the bottom works. Choose a row per invoice for a payment run, or a row per line item for analysis.
It is a genuine Excel file rather than a CSV with a spreadsheet extension, which matters the moment a supplier name contains a comma. Everything — the OCR, the parsing and the workbook — happens in your browser.
Not a renamed CSV — formulas and filters work.
A row per invoice, or per line item.
Many files into one workbook.
Which invoices to check first.
OCR and the workbook both happen locally.
PDFs, photos or images; several at once is fine.
One row per invoice, or one row per line item.
Exactly the rows the workbook will contain.
Open it in Excel, Numbers, LibreOffice or Google Sheets.
Yes — a proper .xlsx workbook written in your browser, with a frozen header, autofilter and real numbers, not a renamed CSV.
Drop as many files as you like; each is read in turn and they all land in one workbook. OCR takes a few seconds per page, so a large batch takes a few minutes.
Fix it in the spreadsheet. OCR is a guess: the confidence figure and the arithmetic check tell you which invoices to look at first.
No. The scans, the text and the workbook all stay in the browser.
