About this character
—
The Invisible Text Generator produces Unicode characters that display as nothing while still satisfying a "must not be empty" check. Several exist and they behave differently, so each is offered with its code point and a note on where it actually works.
Some fields refuse to be empty. A username field demands a value, a message cannot be blank, a bio line will not accept a space. An invisible Unicode character satisfies the "not empty" check while displaying nothing, which is the whole trick.
Several characters do this and they behave differently. The Hangul filler (U+3164) is the most widely accepted for blank usernames because it is classed as a letter. The zero-width space (U+200B) takes no width at all. The braille blank (U+2800) is a visible-width space that most filters do not strip. Each is offered with its code point and a note on where it works, because picking the wrong one is why these usually fail.
Hangul filler for usernames, braille blank for width, zero-width space for none — the choice matters.
So you know exactly what you are pasting, and can search for it later.
Selecting invisible text by hand rarely works, so the button is the only reliable route.
Platforms actively block these and change what they block, so the page says to test rather than assume.
Invisible characters break exact matches and confuse whoever debugs it later.
Each is listed with its code point and where it works best.
Some fields need several to satisfy a minimum length.
The copy button is the only reliable way — selecting invisible text by hand rarely works.
Platforms change their filters, and a character that worked last month may not now.
The Hangul filler (U+3164) for usernames, since it is classed as a letter and passes validation that rejects whitespace. The braille blank (U+2800) for visible spacing. The zero-width space (U+200B) when you need genuinely no width.
Because platforms filter these deliberately. Discord, Instagram and others strip or reject known invisible characters in some fields, and the list they block changes. If one fails, try another.
It depends on the platform and the use. A blank display name is usually tolerated; using invisible characters to evade a word filter or impersonate another account is not, and is a common ground for suspension.
Yes. They break exact-match searches, make two apparently identical values compare as different, and are invisible to whoever is debugging it. That is precisely why the Special Character Counter exists.
