Turn a list of questions into valid FAQPage JSON-LD.
Start a question with Q: and its answer with A:. An answer can run over several lines. A single line written as Question | Answer works too.
Adds an @id so the FAQPage is tied to this exact URL.

The FAQ Schema Generator turns a list of questions and answers into valid FAQPage JSON-LD. Answers keep the basic HTML Google allows inside an acceptedAnswer, everything else is escaped so the JSON stays valid, and the panel warns about the mistakes that actually get FAQ markup rejected — duplicate questions, empty answers and pairs that are not on the page.
Type one question per block, answer it underneath, and the generator writes the FAQPage JSON-LD around it. Answers accept basic HTML — links, bold, lists — which Google allows inside an acceptedAnswer, and everything else is escaped so the JSON stays valid.
The important thing to know is who FAQ rich results are still shown to. In August 2023 Google narrowed the FAQ rich result to well-known government and health sites, so for most pages the stars-and-accordion treatment in search results is gone. The markup is still worth adding: it is read by AI assistants and answer engines, it feeds Google's understanding of what the page covers, and if the rich result ever widens again the pages that already have it are the ones that qualify. What it will not do is guarantee an accordion in the SERP, and any tool promising that is selling you 2022.
Add as many pairs as the page has. Positions and structure are handled for you.
Links, lists and bold text survive into the answer, which is what Google permits inside acceptedAnswer.
The same question twice, or a question with no answer, invalidates the item — both are flagged before you copy.
It tells you plainly that the FAQ rich result is now limited to government and health sites, rather than implying an accordion you will not get.
Unpublished FAQ copy stays on your machine, so you can build the markup before the page is live.
Write the question exactly as a visitor would ask it, then paste the answer below it.
Use one block per pair. Every question on the page should appear here, and nothing that is not on the page.
The panel flags empty answers, duplicate questions and answers so short they will be ignored.
Paste the JSON-LD block into the head of the same page, then confirm it with the Rich Results Test.
Rarely. Since August 2023 Google shows the FAQ rich result almost exclusively for well-known government and health sites. The markup is still read by Google and by AI answer engines, so it remains useful, but do not add it expecting an accordion in the results page.
Yes. Google accepts a limited set of tags inside acceptedAnswer: headings, paragraphs, line breaks, lists, links and basic formatting. This generator keeps those and escapes the quotes and angle brackets that would otherwise break the JSON.
Yes, and this is the rule most FAQ markup breaks. Every question and answer in the markup must appear in the visible content of the same page. Marking up questions that are not there is a structured data violation and can get manual action taken against the site.
FAQPage is for questions the site itself asks and answers. QAPage is for a page where users ask and other users answer, with votes, like a forum thread. If you wrote both halves, you want FAQPage.
