The EXIF Remover decodes an image to raw pixels and re-encodes it, so no metadata block survives — no GPS, no camera, no date, no software trail. A before-and-after summary shows exactly what was in there, and orientation can be kept by applying the rotation to the pixels instead of the tag.
Posting a photograph with its EXIF intact publishes the camera that took it, the moment it was taken, and very often the coordinates. For a picture taken at home, that is your address.
Stripping it is simple: the image is decoded and re-encoded from raw pixels, so no metadata block survives into the new file. The picture is identical and everything the file said about itself is gone. Several images can be done at once and taken as a ZIP. A before-and-after summary shows exactly which tags were present, so you can see what you were about to share.
EXIF, IPTC, XMP and maker notes all go, because the file is rebuilt from pixels rather than edited.
GPS, camera, date and software are flagged before removal, so you can see what you were about to share.
Optionally applies the rotation to the pixels, so a stripped photo does not end up sideways in some viewers.
Clean a whole folder at once and take the results as a single archive.
Output as PNG or lossless WebP to keep the pixels bit-identical while the metadata goes.
One or many. The metadata found in each is listed.
GPS, camera, date and software are flagged before anything is removed.
Strip everything, or keep the orientation so the photo does not end up sideways.
Individually or as a ZIP, with the metadata gone.
Yes. The image is decoded to raw pixels and re-encoded, so no EXIF, IPTC, XMP or maker-note block carries over. Only the pixels survive.
Only from the re-encode itself. Choose PNG or WebP lossless to keep it pixel-identical; JPEG output re-compresses, so use a high quality setting.
Most do on upload, but not all, and not for every route — files sent by email, chat or cloud link keep their metadata. Stripping before sharing removes the question.
If you strip it, some viewers will show the photo sideways. The option to keep only orientation applies the rotation to the pixels instead, which is the safe answer.
