Build Article, NewsArticle or BlogPosting JSON-LD in one pass.
At least 1200px wide. Three crops of the same shot let Google pick what fits.

The Article Schema Generator builds Article, BlogPosting or NewsArticle JSON-LD from the headline, author, publisher, dates and images you supply. It counts the headline against Google's 110-character cap — a limit that invalidates the whole item rather than truncating it — and takes several image URLs so Google can pick the crop that fits its layout.
Fill in the headline, the author, the publisher and the dates, and the generator writes the Article JSON-LD around them. The type switch covers the three that matter — Article for anything general, BlogPosting for a blog post, NewsArticle for reported news — and the field set adjusts to what each one expects.
Two fields are worth more attention than the rest. The headline is capped at 110 characters by Google, and a longer one makes the whole item ineligible rather than merely truncated. And dateModified is the one people leave stale: it should change when the article genuinely changes, because a modified date that moves every night without the content moving is a signal Google has learned to discount. Images should be at least 1200 pixels wide, and giving Google the same shot in 16:9, 4:3 and 1:1 lets it pick whichever fits the layout it is drawing.
Switch between Article, BlogPosting and NewsArticle and the field set follows.
Google drops an Article whose headline passes 110 characters. The counter warns you well before that.
Person and Organization objects are nested properly, with the publisher logo where Google expects it.
One URL per line, so you can supply 16:9, 4:3 and 1:1 crops of the same shot.
Pick the dates and the correct ISO 8601 strings, offsets included, are produced.
Article, BlogPosting or NewsArticle. When in doubt, BlogPosting is right for a blog and Article for everything else.
Keep the headline under 110 characters — beyond that Google drops the item entirely.
A person for the author, an organisation for the publisher, with a logo URL if you have one.
Published and modified dates in ISO format, and one image per line at 1200 pixels wide or more.
Paste the block into the head of the article and validate it with the Rich Results Test.
BlogPosting for a blog post, NewsArticle for reported news from a news publisher, and Article for everything else. BlogPosting and NewsArticle are both subtypes of Article, so any of them is valid where Article is expected — pick the most specific one that is honestly true.
Google caps the headline property at 110 characters and treats a longer one as an error for the whole item, not a truncation. This generator counts it for you and warns before you copy.
datePublished is required. dateModified is optional but strongly recommended, and it must be genuine — a modified date that updates on every page build while the text stays identical trains Google to ignore it.
At least 1200 pixels wide, and high enough resolution that it is not upscaled. Supplying the same image in 16:9, 4:3 and 1:1 crops gives Google a choice, which is why the image field here takes one URL per line.
