Click-worthy video titles under 60 characters, AI or instant.
The YouTube Title Generator turns a video topic, format and tone into eight titles instantly, every one kept under the roughly 60 characters that survive the search cut-off, or writes fresh ones with AI.
A YouTube title does two jobs at once: it has to match what someone searched for, and it has to be the more tempting option among a dozen thumbnails. Titles that only do the first get impressions and no clicks.
Enter the topic and what kind of video it is — tutorial, review, vlog, list or explainer — and Instant mode writes eight titles using the patterns that perform in that format, every one kept under 60 characters so it is not truncated in search results or on a phone.
Instant mode is local: no upload, no account, no network call. AI mode is opt-in and only sends the fields you filled in, when you press Generate.
The default mode builds titles from templates entirely in your browser.
Switch it on for titles written fresh by a language model.
Tutorial, review, vlog, list and explainer each use different title structures.
Titles are trimmed so nothing important is cut off in search or on mobile.
Each option displays its own length next to it.
What the video is about, in the words someone would search for.
Tutorial, review, vlog, list or explainer each use a different title pattern.
Straightforward, curious, bold or friendly changes how strong the promise is.
Each title shows its length so you can see what survives the search cut-off.
YouTube allows 100 characters, but search results and mobile listings cut off around 60. Everything this tool produces stays under that, so nothing important is hidden.
Near the start, yes. It helps the viewer confirm they are in the right place at a glance, and it survives truncation. Forcing it into position one at the cost of readability does not help.
They tend to, because both add specificity — "[2026 Update]" or "in 7 Minutes" tells someone what they are getting. They stop working when every title on the page uses them.
Not inherently. Editing a title on an older video is a normal optimisation, though it is worth changing the thumbnail at the same time so the two still match.
