Build a complete, valid URL from text and parameters.
Text to URL builds a complete address from a base, a path slugified from your text, and query parameters encoded individually — because the three parts have different encoding rules and running one encoder over the whole thing is what breaks links.
A URL has three parts that each need different encoding, and getting them confused is the most common source of broken links. The path takes a slug. The query values take full percent-encoding. The fragment takes something in between. A single encodeURIComponent over the whole thing destroys it.
This builds the URL properly. The path is slugified from your text; the query parameters are taken as key and value pairs and each value is encoded on its own; the fragment is handled separately. The result is shown assembled and validated, with its length checked against the practical limits browsers and servers enforce. It is the tool for building a tracked campaign link, an API call or a share URL without guessing.
Path as a slug, query values fully escaped, fragment separately — the distinction that keeps a URL working.
The finished URL goes through the browser's own URL parser, so malformed results are reported.
Warned past 2,000 characters, which is the practical ceiling older browsers and servers enforce.
Key=value pairs, each value encoded on its own so an ampersand inside one does not split it.
Because paths are case-sensitive, and mixed case quietly creates two URLs for one page.
The scheme and host, such as https://example.com.
A title or phrase, which is slugified into a clean path.
One key=value pair per line; each value is encoded on its own.
Assembled, validated and checked against the practical length limit.
Because they have different rules. A slash is structure in a path and data in a query value. Encoding the whole URL at once turns the structural characters into escapes and breaks it entirely.
There is no limit in the specification, but practical ones exist: about 2,000 characters is the safe maximum, since older browsers and some servers reject more. The tool warns you past that.
Yes. Paths are case-sensitive on most servers, so mixed case creates two URLs for one page and splits your analytics and any links. Lowercase is the universal convention.
It parses the finished URL with the browser's own URL parser, so anything genuinely malformed is reported rather than handed back looking fine.
