About the Keyframes Animation Generator

Write the steps, set the timing, and watch the animation run in the preview as you change it. Each keyframe is a percentage and a set of transforms and properties, added and removed as you go.

The timing controls cover the whole shorthand: duration, delay, iteration count, direction, fill mode and easing — including a custom cubic-bezier. Fill mode is the one people leave out and then wonder why the element snaps back at the end, so it is explained where it appears. Presets cover the animations everyone builds anyway — fade, slide, scale, pulse, shake, bounce and spin — and each is editable rather than a fixed snippet.

Key features of the Keyframes Animation Generator

Runs as you edit

The preview animates continuously, so a change to an easing or a step is felt rather than imagined.

Editable presets

Fade, slide, scale, pulse, shake, bounce and spin — each a starting point you can adjust, not a fixed snippet.

Full timing control

Duration, delay, iterations, direction, fill mode and easing including a custom cubic-bezier.

The fill-mode trap explained

Why the element snaps back at the end, and which value fixes it — the commonest keyframe question there is.

Reduced motion included

The output comes wrapped in a prefers-reduced-motion guard, because motion causes real discomfort for some people.

Frequently asked questions

Because animation-fill-mode defaults to none, so the element returns to its unanimated state. Set forwards to keep the final keyframe, or both to also apply the first one during any delay.
