About the Decimal to IP Converter

Databases rarely store an IP address as text. MySQL has INET_ATON, PHP has ip2long, and plenty of logs and analytics tables simply hold a number — because comparing and indexing integers is faster than comparing strings. Then you are looking at 3232235777 in a query result and need to know whose address it is.

Paste numbers or addresses, one per line, in any mix: a number becomes an address, an address becomes a number. IPv4 and 128-bit IPv6 are both supported, with IPv6 handled as big integers so every digit stays exact. The first value is shown in every form at once — decimal, hexadecimal, octal and binary in bytes — along with the reserved range it belongs to, so a private, loopback or multicast address is obvious at a glance.
