Combine two lists side by side, line by line.
Merge Text combines two lists line by line — side by side to build CSV rows and key-value pairs, or alternating to stack them for a bilingual or question-and-answer document. When the lists are different lengths you choose whether to stop short or pad.
Merging is what you do when the data you need is in two places. A list of names in one column and a list of emails in another need to become one CSV. A list of keys and a list of values need to become key-value pairs. A translation file needs its source and target lines paired up.
This takes two lists and merges them line by line. Side-by-side mode joins line one of each with a separator between them, producing a table. Alternating mode stacks them, so line one of the first list is followed by line one of the second — which is the shape a bilingual document or a question-and-answer file needs. When the lists are different lengths you choose whether to stop at the shorter or pad the gap.
Join the pairs into rows, or stack them so each item is followed by its counterpart.
Stop at the shorter list or pad the gap — and the tool warns you when the lengths differ at all.
Comma, tab, pipe or your own text between the two halves of each merged line.
Wrap each value so a comma inside one of them does not break the CSV you are building.
Merge two, paste the result back and merge again — any number of columns in a few passes.
One item per line in the upper box.
The matching items in the lower box, in the same order.
Side by side to build rows, or alternating to stack the two lists.
Stop at the shorter list, or pad the missing entries so nothing is silently dropped.
You choose. Stopping at the shorter list discards the extra entries; padding keeps every line and fills the missing side with an empty value or a placeholder you set. The tool warns you when the lengths differ.
Use side-by-side mode with a comma as the separator. Add quoting if any of your values contain commas themselves, or the CSV will be malformed.
Stacking rather than joining. Line one of list A, then line one of list B, then line two of A. It is how you build a bilingual document, a question-and-answer file or an interleaved comparison.
Two at a time. Merge the first two, copy the result back into the first box, and merge that with the third — which works for any number of columns.
