ENV to JSON
Turn a .env file into JSON, with quotes, exports and comments handled.
Your browser, engine, platform, languages and what it supports.
Read from your browser as the page renders. None of it is transmitted, logged or stored.
The Browser Info Checker tests features directly rather than inferring them from a version number, because every browser lies in its user agent for compatibility — and it shows both, so you can see exactly where the two disagree.
What your browser reports about itself: the name and version, the rendering engine underneath, the platform, the languages you accept, your timezone, and a feature check covering the APIs a modern site depends on.
The feature list is the useful half. A user agent string is a poor way to decide what a browser can do — every browser lies in it for compatibility, Chrome claims to be Safari, Safari claims to be Gecko, and the version numbers have been frozen or capped repeatedly. Testing for the capability directly is both accurate and future-proof, and this page shows both so you can see where the two disagree. Everything is read in your browser and displayed here; none of it is transmitted.
Each API tested directly, which is accurate today and still accurate in browsers that do not exist yet.
Browser, version, engine and platform pulled out of a string that deliberately claims to be four other browsers.
Where the browser exposes them, giving the true major version that the frozen user agent string no longer carries.
Languages, resolved timezone and the current offset, all of which affect how dates render.
The whole thing as plain text, for pasting into a bug report.
Everything is read immediately, with no permission prompt.
Browser, version, engine and platform, read out of the user agent.
Each API tested directly rather than inferred from the version.
The whole thing as text, for a bug report.
Historical compatibility. Every browser includes the tokens of its predecessors so that old server-side sniffing keeps working, which is why Chrome claims to be Mozilla, Safari and Gecko all at once.
The feature, essentially always. A capability test answers the question you actually have, keeps working in browsers that did not exist when you wrote it, and cannot be defeated by a spoofed user agent.
Chrome froze the major version in the user agent string and moved the real value into Client Hints, to reduce fingerprinting. If the browser exposes the hint, this page reads it and shows the true version.
No. It is read from your browser and rendered here. Your user agent does reach every site you visit as an ordinary HTTP header — but this page does not collect or transmit it.
