Write a money amount the way a cheque needs it — Taka, Rupees, Dollars and more.
Type an amount above
Amount in Words writes a money amount the way cheques and invoices need it, with the right major and minor units for 19 currencies, lakh-crore or million-billion naming, "Only" at the end, and Bangla words for Taka.
A cheque, a money receipt, a quotation or an invoice has to show the amount twice — in figures and in words — and the words must follow the local convention. A Bangladeshi or Indian cheque writes "Taka One Lakh Twenty-Five Thousand Only", an American one "One Hundred Twenty-Five Thousand Dollars and 50/100".
Type the amount, choose the currency and the wording, and the phrase is written for you with the correct major and minor units — Taka and Poisha, Rupees and Paise, Pounds and Pence — the right number system, and "Only" at the end. For Taka you also get the amount in Bangla words. A cheque preview shows the words and the figures together, and amounts with too many decimals are rounded to the smallest coin.
Taka amounts are written in English and in Bangla, ending টাকা মাত্র.
Taka, Rupees, Dollars, Pounds, Euros, Dirhams, Riyals, Ringgit, Yen and more, each with its own coin name.
Put the currency first — Taka One Thousand Only — or at the end, in any letter case.
Extra decimals are rounded to the nearest poisha, paisa or cent, and you are told when that happens.
See the words and the boxed figures together, laid out the way they will be written.
Type it in figures, with or without grouping commas, such as 1,25,000.50.
Nineteen are available, each with its own major and minor unit names.
Currency at the end, or cheque style with the currency first, plus letter case and "Only".
Copy the phrase straight onto your cheque, receipt or invoice template.
One Lakh Twenty-Five Thousand Taka Only, or Taka One Lakh Twenty-Five Thousand Only in cheque style. In Bangla: এক লক্ষ পঁচিশ হাজার টাকা মাত্র.
It closes the line so nothing can be added after the amount. It is standard on South Asian cheques and common on invoices elsewhere.
After "and": Five Hundred Taka and Fifty Poisha Only. Extra decimal places are rounded to the nearest poisha or cent.
Taka, Rupees and similar currencies default to lakh and crore; Dollars, Pounds and Euros default to million and billion. You can override either.
