The Invoice Notes Generator supplies the short note at the bottom of an invoice for eleven situations — thanks, a first invoice, a deposit, a recurring bill, an overdue account, a remittance request — each written short, because a note is not a letter.
The note at the bottom of an invoice is a small space that does a surprising amount of work. It is where you thank somebody, where you explain that this is a deposit and what follows, where you ask for the invoice number as the payment reference, and where you say — once, politely — that an account is overdue.
This has the wording for eleven situations: a straightforward thank you, a first invoice to a new client, a deposit, a final invoice with the deposit deducted, a recurring invoice, a reference request, an overdue account, a late-payment warning, recharged expenses, an office closure over a holiday, and a remittance advice request.
Each is written to be short. A note is not a letter, and an invoice that arrives with a paragraph at the bottom reads as a negotiation rather than a bill.

Eleven of them, from a thank you to an overdue account.
Invoice number, percentage, period, rate — whatever the note refers to.
Each situation has two or three wordings at different temperatures.
A note is one or two sentences. Anything longer belongs in the terms.
One short sentence that does a job: thank the client, explain what the invoice covers if it is unusual, or ask for the invoice number as the payment reference. Anything longer belongs in the terms and conditions block.
It costs nothing and it reads well, particularly on a first invoice or after a good project. Avoid it on an overdue reissue, where it undercuts the message.
State the fact and give them an out: "This invoice is now past due. If it has already been paid, please ignore this and accept our apologies." It is firm about the status and gracious about the possibility that the money is already on its way.
A note from the payer saying which invoices a payment covers. Asking for one in your invoice note saves you matching a lump payment against six invoices by hand.
