Restaurant Invoice Generator
A restaurant bill with covers, service charge, tax and a tip line.
Bill by the hour, day or project, with the terms that actually get freelancers paid.
The Freelance Invoice Generator is built for billing time: hourly, daily or per project, with a units column, project references, late-payment terms that are actually enforceable, and a payment link so a client can settle it without opening their bank app.
Freelance invoicing has its own shape. You are usually not on a purchase order system, you are often not tax-registered, and the single biggest risk is not being paid — so the invoice has to be unambiguous about what was done, when, and by when the money is expected.
This builder starts with an hours-and-rate line, a units column and a project reference. The notes and terms panels are open, with a late-payment clause you can adopt: in the UK the Late Payment of Commercial Debts Act gives you 8% above base plus a fixed recovery cost, and quoting it on the invoice is what makes it stick later. There is a payment link field so a client can pay without finding their bank app.
Because nothing is uploaded, your rate card and your client list stay yours. That matters more for a sole trader than for anybody: your invoices are your entire commercial history.
The unit column prints beside every quantity.
The UK and EU statutory wording, ready to adopt.
Make paying the easiest thing on the page.
The tax line stays off entirely until you switch it on.
Nothing about your prices or clients is ever uploaded.
Hours, days, words, pages or a flat project fee — the unit column prints beside the quantity.
What, what it included, and the dates. A vague description is the commonest reason an invoice is queried.
Net 14 or Net 30, plus a late-payment clause. Both are in the terms panel ready to use.
Make paying the easiest thing on the page.
PDF for the client, CSV or JSON for your own records at tax time.
Only if you are registered. Registration is compulsory above a national threshold and voluntary below it. If you are not registered, leave the tax rate at zero and do not show a tax line at all.
Net 14 is common for small clients and Net 30 for larger ones. Shorter terms get you paid sooner but are worth agreeing before the work, not announcing on the invoice.
In the UK and the EU you have a statutory right to interest and fixed compensation on a late commercial debt whether or not your terms mention it, but quoting the clause on the invoice makes the claim far easier to make.
For a new client or a long project, yes. Raise a deposit invoice for part of the fee, then a final invoice that shows the deposit already paid and the balance due.
Anything sequential and unique. INV-2026-001 upwards is fine. Do not reuse numbers and do not leave gaps you cannot explain.
