The CSV to ICS Converter builds a calendar file from a spreadsheet of events, matching your columns automatically and handling dates, times, all-day events and time zones.
Term dates, shift rotas, delivery schedules, webinar timetables and holiday lists all start life in a spreadsheet, and every one of them is more useful in a calendar. Typing forty events in by hand is how mistakes get made, and most calendar apps will not import a CSV at all.
Paste the sheet and the columns are matched for you — Subject, Start Date, Start Time, End Time, Location, Description, Attendees and more, whatever your headers are called — with pickers to correct anything it guesses wrong. Dates are read day-first or month-first as you choose, times accept 09:30 or 9:30 AM, and a row with a date but no time becomes an all-day event. Tag the whole calendar with a time zone so the events land at the right local hour, then import the .ics into Google Calendar, Outlook or Apple Calendar.
Subject, Start Date, Start Time and the rest are found by name.
2026-09-15 or 15/09/2026, 09:30 or 9:30 AM — day-first or month-first as you choose.
A row with no time becomes a full-day event, ending the following day as iCalendar requires.
Tag the calendar so events land at the right local hour anywhere.
Re-importing updates events instead of creating duplicates.
One row per event, with the column names in the first row.
The start date is the only one that is required.
So 03/04/2026 and 09:30 mean what you intend.
Google Calendar, Outlook and Apple Calendar all read it.
Open Google Calendar on a computer, go to Settings, then Import & export, choose the .ics file and pick which calendar to add the events to.
2026-09-15 always works. Slash dates such as 15/09/2026 are read day-first or month-first according to the setting, because the file itself cannot tell you which was meant.
Leave the time blank, or put yes in an all-day column. The event is written with a date and no time, ending the next day, which is how iCalendar records a full day.
Each event gets a stable UID, so a calendar that already has it updates the event rather than adding a second copy — as long as you keep the same UID column.
