Final Invoice Generator
The closing invoice: full price, deposits deducted, balance due.
A working list of what is unpaid, what to chase today, and what to say.
The Unpaid Invoice Tracker turns a list into a plan: every invoice placed on a seven-stage reminder ladder by how overdue it is, the ones needing something today listed first, and the message for that stage already written.
A list of unpaid invoices is not a plan. What turns it into one is knowing which of them needs something today, and what that something is — because chasing everything every week trains customers to ignore you, and chasing nothing lets debts age past the point where they are easy to recover.
This takes the list and produces the action. Every invoice is placed on a seven-stage reminder ladder by how overdue it is: a courtesy note before the due date, a neutral note on the day, a first reminder at a week, a second at a fortnight, a firm one at thirty days, a final notice at sixty, and a letter before action at ninety. The ones that need something today are listed first.
For each, it shows the stage, the register that stage calls for, and the message — so the list is not a reminder to do some work, it is the work. Everything stays in your browser, which for a list of who owes you money is the whole point.
From a courtesy note to a letter before action.
What needs something now, in order of urgency.
The list is the work, not a reminder to do some.
Age predicts recoverability better than size.
Between visits, and nowhere else.
Number, customer, due date, amount, and when you last chased.
What needs something today, in order of urgency.
The ladder only works if the tone moves in one direction.
Written for that stage and that invoice.
Update the last-chased column and re-run next week.
Roughly weekly, escalating each time. Daily trains people to ignore you; monthly lets a debt age past the point where recovery is easy. The escalation matters more than the frequency.
The oldest, not the largest. Age predicts recoverability better than size, and a large recent invoice is usually just waiting for a payment run.
It is kept in your own browser between visits, and nowhere else. There is no account and no server, which for a list of who owes you money is deliberate rather than a limitation.
After a final notice with a stated deadline, send a letter before action or hand the debt to a recovery agent. A ninth reminder is not a plan, and sending one tells the debtor that your deadlines are not real.
