Build a Stable Diffusion negative prompt from the problems you keep getting.
The Negative Prompt Generator builds a Stable Diffusion negative prompt from the problems you are actually getting — anatomy, artefacts, watermarks, cropping, exposure — with optional weighting, and adapts its output and advice for SD 1.5, SDXL, SD 3.5, FLUX and Midjourney --no.
A negative prompt tells an image model what to steer away from. In Stable Diffusion it is often where most of the quality comes from: the difference between six fingers and five, a clean frame and a watermark, a sharp photo and a smeared one.
Rather than pasting the same giant list into every render, tick the problems you are actually getting — anatomy and hands, low resolution and artefacts, text and watermarks, cropping and duplicated subjects, exposure faults — and choose whether to keep the image photographic or illustrated. Duplicates are removed, your own terms go first where they carry the most weight, and anatomy and quality terms can be weighted with the (term:1.2) syntax.
The advice changes with the model. SD 1.5 leans on negatives heavily; SDXL and SD 3.5 need shorter, targeted lists; FLUX Dev and Schnell ignore negative prompts entirely because they run without classifier-free guidance; and Midjourney takes exclusions through --no, where a short list works far better than a long one. The tool says which applies.
Tick anatomy, artefacts, text, framing or exposure instead of pasting a generic wall of words.
Explains that FLUX ignores negatives, SD 1.5 leans on them and Midjourney wants a short --no list.
Anatomy and quality terms can be written as (term:1.2) or (term:1.4).
Choosing both photographic and illustrated protection is flagged, because each cancels the other.
Shows when the list spills past the 75-token CLIP chunk.
SD 1.5, SDXL, SD 3.5, FLUX or Midjourney. The output and the advice change to match.
Pick the groups for the faults you actually see, rather than every group at once.
Specific unwanted objects or colours, comma separated. They are placed first.
Paste into the negative prompt box of Automatic1111, Forge, ComfyUI or Fooocus.
A second prompt describing what the image should not contain. During generation the model is pushed away from it, which is why it can fix recurring faults such as bad hands or watermarks.
FLUX Dev and Schnell are guidance-distilled and ignore the negative prompt in standard workflows. Describe what you want positively instead, or use a workflow that re-enables true CFG at a higher render cost.
It is attention weighting in Automatic1111 and ComfyUI syntax: the term counts 1.3 times as much as normal. Values above about 1.5 tend to distort the image.
No. Past about 75 tokens the prompt is split into chunks and each term weighs less. A short list aimed at the faults you actually see works better than a generic wall of words.
Through the --no parameter, which applies a strong negative weight to each word. Keep it to a few targeted words.
